MOBILE, AL (BuzzReport) – A high-speed chase through Mobile’s west side Monday afternoon culminated in a dramatic multi-vehicle crash, the arrest of a 42-year-old man, and the alarming discovery of multiple stolen firearms and illegal drugs.

The incident began around 4:00 p.m. when Mobile Police Department officers observed a vehicle, later confirmed as stolen, in the vicinity of Airport Boulevard and General Bullard Avenue. Officers initiated a traffic stop, and while the driver initially pulled over, the vehicle sped off at a high rate of speed just moments later, initiating a pursuit.

The fleeing subject drove recklessly into the residential Pinehurst neighborhood, where the vehicle struck an unoccupied parked car, a residential fence, and an air conditioning unit before continuing northbound on Wesley Avenue.

The pursuit ended abruptly when the driver lost control of the stolen vehicle, crashing into two additional parked vehicles behind a business located at 6157 Airport Boulevard.

Upon apprehending the driver, identified as Kerry Jackson, 42, officers made significant discoveries. Inside the wrecked vehicle, multiple stolen firearms were recovered. Additionally, a firearm was found in the 800 block of Wesley Avenue, believed to have been thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit. Jackson was also found to be in possession of illegal drugs.

Jackson was immediately arrested and transported to Metro Jail, where he faces multiple charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, felony attempting to elude, possession of stolen firearms, possession of illegal drugs, and leaving the scene of an accident.

The vehicle involved in the chase had been reported stolen from the 1200 block of Anchor Drive on Friday, November 21, 2025. Police indicate that additional arrests in connection with the incident are possible as the investigation continues.
