Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A dispute at a Cricket Wireless location on Airport Boulevard turned physical Tuesday afternoon, leading to the arrest of a 36-year-old man, authorities said.

Officers responded to Cricket Wireless at 3648 Airport Boulevard at approximately 1:45 p.m. on August 25, 2026, following a report of a disorderly incident.

When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from minor injuries. Medical personnel treated the victim at the scene, and no further details about the extent of his injuries were immediately released.

During the investigation, officers determined that Chad Singleton, 36, allegedly attempted to take the victim’s cellphone. When Singleton was unsuccessful in taking the phone, investigators said the situation escalated into a physical confrontation.

According to authorities, Singleton allegedly assaulted the victim after failing to take the device.

The incident prompted officers to take Singleton into custody. He was arrested and transported to Metro Jail, where he was booked following the incident.

This is an ongoing investigation.
