Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)—A late-night shooting investigation is underway after a home in the 2800 block of Pages Lane was struck by gunfire Tuesday night. Officers responded to the area at approximately 9:15 p.m. on August 25, 2026, following reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they discovered that a residence had been hit by gunfire. Despite the apparent danger, no injuries were reported in connection with the shooting. Investigators determined that the incident involved a male suspect who allegedly began firing shots toward the residence before entering the home. Once inside, the suspect reportedly continued firing in the direction of a known male victim. The suspect left the area before officers arrived, leaving investigators to piece together what led to the confrontation and determine exactly how many shots were fired. The fact that the suspect allegedly continued shooting after entering the residence has added another serious dimension to the investigation. Authorities are working to determine the relationship between the suspect and the intended victim, as well as the circumstances that sparked the gunfire. No injuries have been reported, but the incident could have had far more serious consequences given that gunfire was directed toward an occupied residence. The investigation remains active, and additional details may be released as detectives continue gathering evidence and interviewing those connected to the incident. Anyone with information that could help investigators identify or locate the suspect is encouraged to contact authorities.
