Investigators arrested Johny D. Broome, 40, of Lucedale on April 22, 2026. Broome faces one count of sexual battery and two counts of molestation involving the touching of a child for lustful purposes.

According to officials, the charges stem from a lengthy investigation that ultimately led to warrants being issued through George County Justice Court.
