BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A man authorities say targeted and scammed women across the county is now behind bars in Baldwin County.

Investigators identify the suspect as Brenton Fillers, widely referred to as the “TikTok Trickster.” He was booked into the Baldwin County Jail on Friday, April 17, after being extradited from North Carolina to face charges locally.

Fillers faces multiple serious charges, including illegal possession and fraudulent use of a credit or debit card, auto theft, and property theft.

According to officials, the charges stem from investigations conducted by both the Spanish Fort Police Department and the Daphne Police Department.

Spanish Fort Police Chief John Barber says authorities are pushing to have Fillers’ bond increased or potentially revoked altogether, citing concerns that he poses a significant flight risk.

The case dates back to 2023, when a woman in Spanish Fort reported her vehicle stolen by a man she had met online. That report triggered a deeper investigation, with detectives uncovering what they believe to be a broader pattern of deception and theft involving multiple victims.

Authorities say the investigation remains active as they work to identify any additional victims and determine the full scope of the alleged scheme.
