29 Year Old Man Arrested for Alleged Credit Card Fraud at West Mobile Store

MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A man is in custody after police say he was caught using a stolen credit card at a West Mobile convenience store Tuesday evening.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched around 7:00 p.m. on April 21, 2026, to Dodge’s, located at 420 Schillinger Road South, following a report of fraudulent use of a credit card.

Investigators say the victim had previously lost his wallet and later obtained a photo of an unknown individual believed to be in possession of it. That image was provided to law enforcement.

Roughly two hours later, at about 9:00 p.m., officers spotted a man matching the suspect’s description in the area. He was detained without incident.

During the encounter, officers reportedly found the victim’s credit card in the suspect’s possession. A detective responded to the scene to continue the investigation.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Shane Chandler, was taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail.

The case remains under investigation.
