Lucedale, MS (BuzzReport) — A Lucedale man is facing multiple felony charges after an investigation by the George County Sheriff’s Office led to his arrest Monday in connection with allegations involving a child. According to authorities, investigators arrested 43-year-old Matthew Bradshaw of Lucedale on March 9, 2026. Bradshaw has been charged with three counts of Touching of a Child for Lustful Purposes, a serious felony under Mississippi law. Officials said Bradshaw also had two outstanding warrants through George County Justice Court for Guilty in Absentiaat the time of his arrest. The charges stem from an investigation initiated after the George County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Child Protection Services. Investigators launched an inquiry into the allegations, gathering evidence that ultimately led to Bradshaw being taken into custody. Bradshaw was granted a $60,000 commercial bond for each count of Touching of a Child for Lustful Purposes, bringing his total bond for those charges to $180,000, according to authorities. In a statement following the arrest, Mitchell Mixon praised the partnership between law enforcement and child protection officials. “We appreciate the dedication and hard work of Child Protection Services and the role they play in protecting children in our community,” Mixon said. “Their cooperation and commitment are vital in helping law enforcement investigate cases involving the safety and well-being of children.” The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the alleged incidents or potential additional charges.
