Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Authorities have arrested a juvenile male in connection with a February shooting incident that damaged two vehicles in a residential area of Mobile. Investigators say another individual involved in the incident acted in self-defense and will not face criminal charges.

According to the Mobile Police Department, the arrest was made on Monday, March 9, 2026, following an investigation into gunfire reported in the city’s Crichton-area neighborhood last month.

Police said the incident occurred on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at approximately 3:18 p.m., when officers responded to reports of shots fired near Lincoln Street and Fourth Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that two unoccupied vehicles had been struck during what investigators described as an exchange of gunfire between individuals who were known to one another. Authorities confirmed that although multiple shots were fired, no individuals were struck or injured during the incident.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified and later located a juvenile male suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Shooting into an Unoccupied Vehicle and seven counts of Reckless Endangerment.

Investigators also determined that a second individual involved in the gunfire had acted in self-defense. As a result, police said no charges will be filed against that individual.

Officials emphasized that the case remains under investigation, and additional details have not been released at this time.

Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact the Mobile Police Department as the investigation continues.
