Juvenile Body Found In Jackson

Jackson, Miss. (BuzzReport) — A homicide investigation is underway after a teenager was found shot to death in a wooded area of Jackson over the weekend, according to local authorities.

The Jackson Police Department said officers were called to a scene near the 5100 block of Livingston Road, close to Forest Avenue, on Saturday after reports of a body discovered in the area. When officers arrived, they found a male victim deceased in a wooded location.

The Hinds County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Davarious Milton of Canton. Officials confirmed that Milton suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have not released details regarding a possible motive, nor have they identified any suspects in connection with the killing. Police say the case remains an active and ongoing investigation.
