Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A late-night shooting at a midtown apartment complex has led to an arrest, as Mobile Police continue to investigate what they describe as a violent and still-unfolding case.

Officers were dispatched to the South of Dauphin Apartments, located at 3105 Dauphin Street, at approximately 9:53 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, after receiving reports of a gunshot. When officers arrived on scene, they found an adult male victim suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Emergency medical personnel quickly transported the victim to a local hospital, where he received urgent care. His current condition has not been released.

Through the course of the investigation, officers identified and located a suspect connected to the shooting. Kendrick Hill, 23, was taken into custody without incident and transported to Metro Jail, according to police.

Authorities have not released details regarding a possible motive, the relationship between the suspect and the victim, or whether charges have formally been filed. Investigators emphasize that the case remains active, and additional information is being withheld to protect the integrity of the investigation.

Residents in the area expressed concern following the incident, as the shooting occurred in a typically quiet residential complex. Police presence remained visible at the scene for several hours as detectives processed evidence and canvassed for witnesses.
