Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A late-evening act of vandalism left thousands of dollars in damage at a well-known Mobile car dealership, culminating in an arrest the following morning, according to police.

Officers with the Mobile Police Department responded Friday, January 9, at approximately 6:40 p.m. to a criminal mischief complaint at Mullinax Ford, located at 7311 Airport Boulevard. Surveillance footage reviewed by investigators showed an unknown female actively vandalizing multiple vehicles on the dealership’s lot.

Authorities estimate the damage to several vehicles totaled approximately $17,000, dealing a significant financial blow to the business. By the time officers arrived on scene, the suspect had already fled the area.

The investigation continued overnight, and on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at approximately 7:55 a.m., officers located and detained the suspect without incident.

Police identified the individual as Regina Stanley, 49, who was taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail. No injuries were reported, and authorities have not released additional details regarding a motive.

The case remains under investigation as police work to determine whether additional charges may be filed.
