Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A 44-year-old Mobile man is behind bars after allegedly attacking his neighbors with a knife Monday night, injuring two women who were attempting to de-escalate a heated confrontation. Shawn Beason was arrested following the violent incident on Bellingrath Road and transported to Metro Jail. Shawn Beason Police responded to the 8600 block of Bellingrath Road around 10:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, after receiving reports of an assault. Upon arrival, officers quickly located two female victims suffering from minor injuries consistent with a physical attack. Both women were promptly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Further investigation by responding officers unveiled a tense situation that escalated from a neighborhood dispute. Authorities determined that Shawn Beason initiated an altercation with his neighbors. During the heated exchange, Beason reportedly brandished a knife and threatened a male victim, though the male managed to avoid injury from the weapon. As the confrontation intensified, the two female victims, who reside next door to Beason, intervened in an effort to calm the volatile situation. It was during their attempt to diffuse the escalating dispute that Beason allegedly used the knife, cutting both women. Following the investigation, Beason was apprehended by officers without further incident. Shawn Beason has been booked into Metro Jail, where he faces charges related to the assault and the use of a deadly weapon. The conditions of the two female victims, while reported as minor, were not immediately updated. Authorities continue their investigation into the exact nature of the initial altercation.
