Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)- A judge has denied a request to reinstate bond for William “B.J.” Squires, a former Bayou La Batre police officer accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. Squires was indicted for rape and sexual abuse, and his bond was revoked last month after evidence emerged that he attended a baseball game in Biloxi, Mississippi, violating the terms of his bond. According to the court, Squires’ bond conditions required him to stay within Alabama, but he was found to have traveled to Mississippi for the baseball game on June 5. This led to the DA’s office revoking his bond and signing a warrant for his arrest. The case will proceed to trial in June next year, as set by the judge. Squires remains in custody after the judge denied the request to reinstate his bond. The allegations against Squires are serious, and the court’s decision reflects the severity of the charges [1 Share this:Tweet Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads Share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window) Nextdoor More Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Like this:Like Loading… Related Post navigation Grammy-Nominated Rapper GloRilla Arrested on Drug Charges After Burglary at Georgia Home Mobile’s Earle Street: Homicide Investigation Underway
