Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – Mobile Police Department announced the arrest of Antonio Haynes, 42, in connection with a kidnapping and assault case that occurred earlier this month.

According to authorities, the incident took place on July 4 at approximately 12:45 a.m. near Highway 90, where officers responded to reports of an assault and possible kidnapping. Upon arrival, they found a female victim with minor injuries who was treated at the scene.

Witnesses reported seeing a man being forced into a vehicle, which left the area. However, the male victim later returned to the scene and informed police that the suspect, Haynes, had accused him of theft.

After an investigation, MPD located Haynes on July 10 and took him into custody. He faces charges of kidnapping and assault. Additionally, Haynes is also facing charges in an unrelated shooting case.

Haynes is currently being held at a local detention facility. The Mobile Police Department is continuing to investigate the matter.
