Kerr County, TX (BuzzReport) – Search and rescue efforts are ongoing in Kerr County, where severe flooding has resulted in a significant loss of life and displacement of residents. Hundreds of officers, deputies, and support staff from local, state, and national agencies are working tirelessly to locate missing individuals and provide aid to those affected.

Current Situation

As of 1:30 pm, 68 bodies have been recovered in Kerr County, including 40 adults and 28 children. Eighteen adults and 10 children are still pending identification. Unfortunately, 10 Camp Mystic campers and one counselor remain unaccounted for, and authorities are working diligently to reunite families.

Weather Update

Additional rainfall in the upper Guadalupe basin has caused a rise in Johnson Creek, which is expected to lead to a 1-2 ft increase in water levels downstream when it enters the Guadalupe River in Ingram. Residents near the Guadalupe River or Johnson Creek are advised to exercise caution and stay informed about the latest weather updates.
