Bosque County, Texas (BuzzReport) – Residents living near the Bosque River and surrounding creeks are bracing for a potentially catastrophic flood event, as heavy rainfall in the area and upstream is expected to cause the river to rise dramatically overnight.

According to forecasts, the Bosque River is predicted to crest around 4AM, which could lead to widespread flooding similar to last year’s event. If the river reaches predicted levels, homes and properties in low-lying areas could be severely impacted.

In response to the forecast, authorities are urging residents who live near the river or creeks to take immediate action and make necessary arrangements to evacuate before nightfall. Those whose homes or properties were flooded or affected in previous floods are considered to be at high risk and are strongly advised to take precautions.
