Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – The Mobile Police Department has taken a 20-year-old man into custody in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at Knollwood Apartments on June 16. Christopher Dewayne Kennedy Jr. was arrested on July 1 and faces charges of first-degree assault and discharging a gun into an unoccupied building. According to police, officers responded to the apartment complex around 2 a.m. on June 16 and found an injured man. The individual was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation revealed that an unoccupied apartment unit had also been struck by gunfire. The Mobile Police Department continues to investigate the incident. Kennedy is currently being held on the aforementioned charges.
