Gulfport Police Seek Armed and Dangerous Suspect in Fatal Shooting

Gulfport, MS – The Gulfport Police Department is actively seeking Kevin Eugene James, 53, in connection with a shooting on April 28th that left a 16-year-old dead and three others injured. James is wanted on charges of 1st Degree Murder, Shooting Into a Dwelling, and three counts of Aggravated Assault, according to the police report.

Authorities describe James as a black male, approximately 5’11” tall, weighing 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police are urging the public to exercise extreme caution, as James is considered armed and dangerous.

The charges against James stem from an incident on April 28th where four individuals were shot. Tragically, a 16-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries. The condition of the other three victims is currently unknown.
