Two Mobile Teens Arrested After Alleged Armed Robbery During Online Firearms Meetup in Daphne

DAPHNE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — Two 19-year-olds from Mobile have been arrested after Daphne Police say an online meetup to purchase firearms turned into an armed robbery outside a local business.

According to the Daphne Police Department, officers responded to the area of Sam’s Club at approximately 1:15 p.m. on July 29 after receiving a report of an armed robbery.

Investigators say the victim had arranged an online meeting with individuals to purchase two firearms. However, when the parties met, police allege the victim was robbed at gunpoint instead of completing the transaction.

Following an investigation, authorities arrested Travon Worsley, 19, of Mobile, and Ka’Leyce Gulley, 19, of Mobile, in connection with the incident.

Police said the victim’s property has been successfully recovered.

The investigation remains active as detectives continue to gather evidence and determine whether additional charges or suspects may be involved.
