Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Two suspects, including an 18-year-old man and a juvenile, have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that erupted earlier this month in Mobile, leaving one man dead and four others injured, according to the Mobile Police Department.

Police said 18-year-old Terrance Withers, of Mobile, has been charged with murder. A juvenile suspect was also taken into custody and charged with murder in connection with the same incident.

Investigators said the shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. on May 18 in the 1100 block of O’Donnell Street. Officers responding to reports of gunfire arrived to find multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities identified the deceased victim as 20-year-old Daniel Franklin, who died as a result of his injuries.

In addition to the fatality, four other individuals were wounded during the shooting. Police said three women and one man were transported to local hospitals with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Both suspects were booked into Metro Jail following their arrests. Officials said Withers is currently being held while awaiting a bond hearing.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting have not yet been fully released, and investigators continue working to determine what sparked the violence.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests or charges could be possible as detectives continue gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
