MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle Tuesday morning ended in a crash and foot chase in the Dauphin Island Parkway area, leaving one suspect in custody and another still on the run.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers attempted to stop a vehicle reported stolen near the intersection of Dauphin Island Parkway and Douglas Lane. Authorities said the driver refused to comply, continuing to flee despite activated sirens and flashing blue emergency lights.

During the pursuit, officers deployed stop sticks, which the fleeing vehicle struck shortly thereafter. The car came to a stop near the intersection of Dauphin Island Parkway and Cedar Crescent Drive.

Police said two individuals then exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Officers were able to detain one suspect, while a second individual managed to evade capture and remains outstanding.
