MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (BuzzReport)— Law enforcement authorities have apprehended a suspect following a high-speed chase that spanned multiple counties, officials confirmed Tuesday evening. According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, the pursuit began in Jackson County, Mississippi, when a man driving a Corvette reportedly threw objects out of his vehicle. The chase continued into Mobile County, ultimately ending at the Circle K located at 5809 US-90 East shortly after 9 p.m. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect exited the vehicle with his hands raised and was immediately taken into custody by responding officers. Multiple agencies are involved in the investigation, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), and law enforcement from Mississippi. Officials have not released details on what prompted the chase or the nature of the items thrown from the vehicle. The situation remains under active investigation.
