Gulf Shores, AL (BuzzReport) — A massive spring break house party in Gulf Shores ended with more than 100 arrests Thursday night after police say the gathering spiraled out of control and posed safety concerns.

According to the Gulf Shores Police Department, officers were dispatched around 11:00 p.m. to the 2400 block of West Beach in response to reports of an “extremely large house party.” Upon arrival, officers encountered a crowded and chaotic scene involving a large number of young people.

During the response, authorities say one officer was struck with beer that had been thrown from a balcony, escalating concerns about disorderly behavior at the scene.

Following an on-site investigation, a total of 109 individuals were arrested and charged with underage drinking. Police noted that the incident comes during a peak spring break period, with nearly 30 schools out of session this week, contributing to a surge in visitors to the coastal area.

Due to the size of the crowd and the number of arrests, Gulf Shores Police received assistance from neighboring agencies, including the Foley Police Department and the Orange Beach Police Department.

Officials have not released additional details about potential injuries or further charges but emphasized that large, unsupervised gatherings—particularly those involving alcohol and minors—can quickly become dangerous situations.

The investigation remains ongoing.
