Pensacola, FL (BuzzReport) — A 32-year-old man wanted on multiple felony warrants was taken into custody following a vehicle pursuit in the Bellview area, according to authorities.

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office C/North units identified the suspect as Parcardin Gandy, who was reportedly connected to a carjacking investigation. Deputies attempted to stop Gandy after locating him driving a black Chevrolet Impala displaying a license plate that was not assigned to the vehicle.

When deputies initiated a traffic stop, Gandy fled, leading law enforcement on a pursuit through the Bellview area. The chase came to an end on Glendora Drive after deputies executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, successfully disabling the vehicle.

Authorities say Gandy then attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by deputies on scene.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 38-year-old Claudatious Lane, was also detained. Officials confirmed Lane had active warrants with the Pensacola Police Department.

Gandy now faces additional charges, including aggravated fleeing and eluding law enforcement, as well as displaying a tag not assigned to the vehicle. Both individuals were taken into custody without further incident.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office credited coordinated efforts by C/North units, along with assistance from Deputy Oliveras and K9 Walker, in bringing the incident to a safe conclusion.
