Mobile, Alabama (BuzzReport) — A juvenile has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 25-year-old man Monday morning, according to the Mobile Police Department. Officers responded at approximately 11:18 a.m. on March 2, 2026, to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Valdez Drive and Skipper Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim lying deceased in the roadway. Investigators determined the victim, identified as Laterrius Bailey, had been shot while walking in the area. During the preliminary investigation, authorities learned that at least two male subjects were seen walking nearby at the time of the shooting. Both individuals immediately fled the area on foot following the gunfire. Police confirmed that a juvenile male was taken into custody Monday in connection with the case. Officials indicated that additional arrests are likely as the investigation continues. No further details have been released regarding a possible motive.
