Mobile, Alabama (BuzzReport) — A 36-year-old woman was arrested Monday night after a shooting during a domestic altercation left a vehicle struck by gunfire, according to the Mobile Police Department.

Officers responded at approximately 10:00 p.m. on March 2, 2026, to the 2000 block of Gimon Circle in reference to a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant, who stated that a verbal and physical altercation had taken place involving himself, his wife, and others at the residence. During the confrontation, the complainant reported seeing a handgun and said he immediately grabbed his wife in an attempt to leave the scene.

As the couple approached their vehicle, the complainant said he heard a single gunshot but was unsure where the round had landed. At the time of the shooting, the complainant’s two children were inside the vehicle.

Authorities confirmed that no one was struck by gunfire; however, one round hit the vehicle.

Police arrested Janice Lee, 36, in connection with the incident. She was transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
