Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A shooting disrupted celebrations Saturday during the Mobile Terrace Motorcade Parade as thousands gathered for the final parade of the season, authorities confirmed. Members of The BuzzReport staff were participating in the parade and were approximately one block away when gunshots rang out as floats moved along Lincoln Boulevard. Witnesses described a sudden moment of panic as attendees ran for cover while the parade was in progress. The Mobile Police Department said no one was struck by the gunfire. However, multiple vehicles were damaged after being hit by bullets. Police have not released information about any suspects, and no arrests have been announced. Despite the incident, the celebration continued, with numerous floats proceeding along the parade route after the shots were fired. The shooting remains under investigation. Police are urging anyone with information, including video or eyewitness accounts, to contact investigators as they work to determine what led to the gunfire during the event in Mobile.
