Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A late-night pizza delivery turned into a terrifying ordeal Wednesday when a delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint at a west Mobile apartment complex, according to local authorities. Police responded to Shell Point Apartments, located at 6601 Old Shell Road, at approximately 9:13 p.m. on January 28, 2026, following a report of a robbery in progress. When officers arrived on scene, they learned that a female pizza delivery driver had been ambushed while attempting to complete a routine delivery. Investigators say the driver was approached by two unknown individuals, at least one of whom was armed with a gun. The suspects allegedly robbed her of the delivery items before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported, but the incident left the victim shaken. The suspects had already left the scene by the time officers arrived, and no descriptions have been released as of Thursday. Authorities say the case remains an active investigation. Police are urging anyone with information related to the robbery to contact local law enforcement or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
