Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A Mobile County jury has convicted Jeffery Holley of murder and robbery in the first degree in connection with the 2023 shooting death of Alan “Bama” Williams. The verdict stems from a violent incident that occurred on February 15, 2023. According to evidence presented at trial, Holley robbed Williams of his firearm before shooting him in the head. Williams was critically injured in the shooting and died several days later as a result of his injuries. Prosecutors stated that Holley fled the scene following the shooting, taking the firearm with him. The weapon was later recovered at a residence where Holley was subsequently located and apprehended by law enforcement. After a trial held this week, the jury deliberated for approximately one hour and forty minutes before returning guilty verdicts on all counts. Sentencing for Jeffery Holley is scheduled for March 23, 2026.
