Local Dentist Charged with Arson, Insurance Fraud After Months-Long Investigation

Conecuh County, AL (BuzzReport) — A prominent Evergreen dentist is facing serious felony charges following a lengthy investigation into a mysterious explosion at his dental practice.

Dr. Douglas O’Connor has been charged with second-degree arson and first-degree insurance fraud, authorities confirmed Friday. The charges stem from a 10-month investigation into an explosion that damaged O’Connor’s dental office in Evergreen, raising early suspicions about the cause of the incident.
