Son Arrested After Fatal Stabbing on Victor Road, Police Say

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A Wednesday afternoon in Mobile turned deadly when police responded to a reported stabbing that left a 67-year-old man dead and his teenage son under arrest.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 2:08 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, to the 6800 block of Victor Road. When officers arrived, they discovered a male victim lying in the front yard, suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators quickly determined that the suspect was known to the victim. Police identified the suspect as Samuel Prince, 19, the victim’s son. Authorities say Samuel Prince remained at the scene following the incident and was taken into custody without incident. He was later transported to Metro Jail.

The victim has been identified as Mark Prince, 67.

Police report that preliminary findings indicate the victim was stabbed numerous times. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, including what may have led up to the fatal encounter.
