Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A juvenile was taken into custody Wednesday morning following a cutting incident at Williamson High School that left another student injured, according to Mobile police.

Officers responded to the school at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, after receiving a report of a cutting. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male victim who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators determined that another juvenile male had stabbed the victim with a pair of broken scissors, causing a minor laceration to the victim’s arm. Mobile Fire-Rescue Department personnel treated the victim at the scene. He was later transported to a local hospital, where he received stitches for his injury.

Police arrested the juvenile suspect at the school. He was subsequently transported to the Strickland Youth Center.

Authorities have not released the names of the juveniles involved due to their ages. The incident remains under investigation, and school officials are cooperating with law enforcement.

Williamson High School administrators have not released additional details but indicated that appropriate safety protocols were followed and that student safety remains a top priority.
