Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A late-night attempt to evade law enforcement on Monday, November 17, 2025, culminated in a vehicle crash and the arrest of a Mobile man found in possession of a stolen firearm. The incident unfolded across several city streets, highlighting the inherent dangers of high-speed pursuits. At approximately 11:50 p.m., officers in the vicinity of Azalea Road and Skyline Drive attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle for an unspecified violation. However, the driver immediately refused compliance, accelerating away and initiating a pursuit through residential areas. The chase created a significant risk to public safety as the vehicle traveled at high speeds in an apparent effort to elude apprehension. The pursuit reached its abrupt conclusion when the fleeing vehicle struck a fence on Village Green Drive, becoming disabled. Authorities swiftly secured the scene and apprehended the driver, identified as 25-year-old Keelon Bridges. This discovery led to additional serious charges beyond the initial traffic offense. Bridges now faces multiple counts, including Attempt to Elude for the dangerous pursuit, Receiving Stolen Property related to the recovered firearm, and Certain Persons Forbidden From Possessing a Firearm, indicating prior legal restrictions on his ability to own such a weapon. The swift resolution of this incident underscores the persistent efforts of local law enforcement to remove illegal weapons from circulation and to address individuals who disregard public safety through dangerous driving. Bridges was transported to Metro Jail following his arrest, awaiting further legal proceedings.
