MOBILE, AL – Authorities confirmed late Sunday night that a suspect has been apprehended following a fatal stabbing in West Mobile, an incident that claimed the life of 46-year-old Terrance Sims.

The violent encounter occurred Sunday afternoon, prompting a substantial law enforcement response to the 7500 block of Old Pascagoula Road. At approximately 4:30 p.m., officers arrived at the scene and discovered Mr. Sims suffering from critical, life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing. Medical personnel rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Investigators immediately launched a comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death. The investigation moved swiftly, quickly focusing on a suspect who was known to the victim. This critical determination suggested the assault was not a random act of violence.

Within hours of the incident, Nicholas White, 45, was identified by police as the perpetrator of the assault. White was subsequently arrested and transported to Metro Jail, where he is being held as the investigation into the fatal stabbing continues.
