Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A routine early morning patrol turned into a significant arrest for Mobile Police today, Friday, September 5, 2025, when officers apprehended a 55-year-old man driving a vehicle reported stolen. Christopher Scott was taken into custody following a traffic stop on Garden Grove Drive at approximately 2 a.m. According to official reports from the Mobile Police Department, officers observed a vehicle matching the description of one reported stolen in the Garden Grove Drive area. Responding swiftly, officers initiated a traffic stop, successfully bringing the vehicle to a halt and detaining the driver. Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the 3800 block of Moffett Road. Scott was subsequently arrested on charges related to receiving stolen property and transported to Metro Jail. The Mobile Police Department has stated that this remains an active investigation.
