Update: Victims Received Multiple Gunshots in Rapier Ave Shooting in Mobile.

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A double shooting took place in the 300 block of Rapier Avenue on Tuesday morning, at approximately 9:00 a.m. Officers responded to reports of a shooting and discovered two female victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were immediately transported to a local hospital, where they are being treated for serious injuries both victims had to undergo surgery.

According to preliminary investigations, the victims were inside a parked vehicle when a known subject fired shots at the vehicle. The motive behind the attack is still unclear, and authorities are working diligently to piece together the events surrounding the shooting.

The Buzz Report has learned that one of the female victims sustained up to eight gunshots and has undergone two surgeries. The other female victim sustained up to three gunshots.
