Foley Police Arrest Woman in Connection with Discovery of Deceased Man

Foley, AL (BuzzReport) – The Foley Police Department has taken a woman into custody following the discovery of a deceased man inside her apartment on July 28th. Authorities are currently working to identify the victim.

According to police, officers responded to a welfare check at the Alison Pointe Apartments at approximately 10:50 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the body of a male who appeared to have been deceased for an extended period.

The initial investigation led to the arrest of 54-year-old Valerie Bonner of Foley. Bonner has been charged with Abuse of a Corpse, a felony, and Tampering with Physical Evidence, a misdemeanor. The Abuse of a Corpse charge stems from her alleged failure to notify authorities of the death and allowing the body to remain in the residence without reporting it.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine the official cause of death. While foul play is not currently suspected, the investigation remains ongoing.
