Grand Bay, AL (BuzzReport) – An incident in Irvington has led to serious charges against a local man. According to court documents, 39-year-old Preston Lee Goodrum III is accused of breaking into a home where he attacked a woman known to him. Details from court documents indicate that Goodrum allegedly threw the victim to the ground and strangled her with his hands, causing her to be unable to breathe. The documents further state that when the victim attempted to call for help, Goodrum destroyed her phone, preventing her from doing so. Goodrum faces charges of domestic violence strangulation, first-degree domestic violence, and interfering with a domestic violence emergency call. Jail records show that his bond has been set at $72,500.
