Pascagoula, MS (BuzzReport) – A fire incident occurred at the Chevron Pascagoula Refinery on Monday, July 14, at approximately 8:15 a.m. The incident resulted in injuries to four workers, with three being transported to a hospital for further treatment. According to Chevron, the incident originated at the refinery’s wastewater treatment area. The company’s emergency response team provided initial medical care to the injured workers until ambulances arrived. Chevron’s firefighters responded to the incident and extinguished the fire. Officials have stated that there was no apparent danger to the surrounding community. Chevron is investigating the cause of the incident.
