Woman Arrested in Bold Attempted Theft in Mobile

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – bold incident unfolded in the early hours of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in the 60 block of N. Catherine Street, where a female suspect attempted to steal a vehicle. According to eyewitnesses and police reports, the events leading to the arrest of Linda Cooper, 48, began when the male victim was driving in the area of Old Shell Road and N. Catherine Street.

The suspect, who initially approached the victim asking for a ride, gained unauthorized access to the vehicle when the victim exited, allowing her to attempt to drive away. Fortunately, law enforcement officers responded promptly to the incident report and apprehended Cooper.

Cooper was arrested and transported to Metro Jail, facing charges related to attempted theft of property. The swift action by law enforcement ensured the suspect was brought to justice, providing relief to the victim and the community.
