Destin, FL – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has announced the conclusion of active search operations for 10-year-old Trinity Eslinger, who went missing in the Destin East Pass on June 12th. Despite an extensive six-day search effort involving multiple agencies and volunteer organizations, Trinity has not been located.

The search operation, which covered approximately 250 square miles, included marine vessels, aerial resources, dive teams, and ground crews. Over 40 dives were conducted during the search. The Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the agencies and volunteers who supported the search, including the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, United States Coast Guard, Eglin Air Force Base, and others.

While active search operations are concluding, the Sheriff’s Office will continue to respond to any new information that becomes available and provide support to Trinity’s family. Deputies will maintain a presence in the area as part of regular patrols.

Sheriff Eric Aden stated, “Our hearts are heavy, and this is not the outcome anyone hoped for. We are deeply grateful to every agency, volunteer, and community member who gave their all in this search. Our thoughts and prayers are with Trinity’s family during this unimaginable time.”

The community continues to hold out hope for Trinity’s safe return, and the Sheriff’s Office remains committed to supporting her family.
