Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A vibrant evening of dance turned into a scene of horror at the historic Saenger Theatre in Mobile, Alabama, on Saturday, when gunfire erupted during a recital, leaving two people shot. According to Mobile Police Department (MPD) Chief William Jackson, the shooting occurred around 6:30 pm. The Buzz Report has confirmed that one of the victims died of their injuries. The other victim, believed to be an innocent bystander, suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle. Police reports indicate that the latter’s injuries are not deemed life-threatening. Chief Jackson stated that the shooting stemmed from a confrontation between two groups of known individuals. Fortunately, authorities have confirmed that there is no active shooter situation at large, providing some relief to the community. One person has turned themselves in to the authorities in connection with the shooting. While details are still emerging, the Mobile Police Department is working diligently to piece together the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
