Judge Finds Sufficient Evidence in Mobile Murder Case

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A Mobile man accused of a deadly August shooting will face the next stage of the criminal court process after a judge ruled that prosecutors presented enough evidence for the case to move forward.

John Myers is facing charges of murder and attempted murder in connection with a shooting on Avenue C near Harding Boulevard.

According to investigators, the incident turned deadly when Robert Baehr was fatally shot, while another person was also wounded.

Following the evidence presented in court, the judge determined that sufficient evidence exists to proceed with the charges against Myers. The ruling does not determine guilt, but allows the case to advance through the judicial process.

The case will now move before a grand jury, which will consider the evidence and determine whether Myers should be formally indicted.
