Juveniles Caught Breaking Into Vehicles At Mobile Apartment Complex

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A late-night investigation into a string of vehicle break-ins at a Mobile apartment complex led police directly to two juvenile suspects after officers allegedly caught them in the act.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers were at 2889 Sollie Road, the Charleston Apartments, at approximately 1:30 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, investigating recent vehicle break-ins reported at the complex.

While conducting the investigation, officers reportedly observed two juvenile male subjects actively breaking into vehicles.

When officers approached, both juveniles allegedly fled on foot in an attempt to escape. Officers were able to detain both subjects shortly afterward.

Following the arrests and additional investigation, police determined that the juveniles were allegedly connected to multiple vehicle break-ins at the apartment complex dating back to July 2026.

One of the juveniles was arrested and transported to Strickland Youth Center, while the second juvenile was detained as investigators continued working to determine his involvement.

The discovery of multiple break-ins dating back several months has expanded the investigation as detectives work to identify additional victims, determine the full extent of the alleged thefts and recover any property that may have been taken.

Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing.

Because the suspects are juveniles, additional identifying information was not released.
