Chickasaw Announces Amnesty Day To Help Residents Resolve Outstanding Warrants

CHICKASAW, Ala. (BuzzReport)— The City of Chickasaw is giving residents an opportunity to address certain outstanding court matters as the Chickasaw Municipal Court prepares to host an Amnesty Day on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event, presented by Court Liaison Randall Wheeler, is designed to provide individuals with eligible outstanding warrants an opportunity to take care of their court obligations and work toward resolving their cases through the Chickasaw Municipal Court.

According to the city, certain warrants may be eligible for payment at the court’s payment window during Amnesty Day. Eligible matters include traffic failure-to-appear warrants, contempt-of-court warrants, and traffic and criminal failure-to-pay warrants.

Officials are encouraging individuals who have eligible outstanding warrants to take advantage of the opportunity rather than allowing unresolved court matters to continue.

Amnesty Day will be held inside the Chickasaw Municipal Court Room, where individuals can address qualifying outstanding matters and receive information regarding the steps needed to resolve their court obligations.

The city also noted that police presence will be provided for courtroom security during the event.

For residents who are unsure whether their outstanding warrant qualifies, the City of Chickasaw advises them to contact the Chickasaw Municipal Court for additional information and questions before attending.
