Arrest Made After Highway 90 Shooting In Gautier

GAUTIER, MS. (BuzzReport)— A 33-year-old Pascagoula woman has been arrested following an altercation and shooting that left a 20-year-old man critically injured along Highway 90 in Gautier.

According to the Gautier Police Department, officers responded at approximately 5 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026, to a reported altercation and shooting on Highway 90 near Gautier-Vancleave Road.

Investigators say an 18-year-old female was assaulted during the incident. A 20-year-old male also sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition for treatment.

Responding officers located Regina Joe, 33, of Pascagoula, who was taken into custody in connection with the incident.

Joe was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, discharging a firearm within city limits, disturbance in a public place, no proof of liability insurance, driving while license suspended, and obstructing a public street.

Information surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Gautier police said additional charges are possible as investigators continue working to determine exactly what led to the altercation and shooting.
