MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport)— A Friday evening assault at Public Safety Memorial Park resulted in the arrest of a Mobile man after police say he attacked another individual with brass knuckles.

According to authorities, officers responded to Public Safety Memorial Park, located at 2301 Airport Boulevard, at approximately 8:39 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, following reports of an assault.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from minor injuries. Although the victim was evaluated at the scene, he declined medical treatment, police said.

As investigators gathered evidence and interviewed those involved, they determined that the victim had allegedly been struck with brass knuckles during the altercation. Police identified the suspected attacker as Christopher Jones, 33, who was known to the victim.

Jones was taken into custody without incident and transported to Metro Jail, where he was booked in connection with the assault.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding what led to the confrontation or whether any additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
