MOBILE, Ala. — A Friday evening dispute in Mobile turned violent when an argument between two men ended with one of them being shot, according to the Mobile Police Department. Police responded to the 3000 block of Heather Street shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Friday following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered that a man had suffered a gunshot wound to the foot. Investigators say the victim was shot by another man during an argument. Authorities indicated that the two individuals were acquainted, though officials have not released additional details regarding what led to the confrontation. The injured man was taken to a local hospital, where he is receiving treatment. His condition has not been released. Mobile Police confirmed that one suspect is in custody as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No charges have been announced at this time.
