HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (BuzzReport News) — A major development has emerged in the high-profile disappearance of Huntsville realtor Ronald Dumas Jr., as authorities confirm that a key suspect is being returned to Alabama to face kidnapping charges. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office announced that Toure Laron McLaurin, who is wanted on a warrant charging him with first-degree kidnapping, is currently being extradited from Michigan after his arrest at the Ingham County Correctional Facility. While officials have not provided a specific timeline for his arrival in Alabama, law enforcement sources say the extradition process is underway and involves coordination between multiple agencies across state lines. Toure Laron McLaurin McLaurin is considered a central figure in the investigation surrounding the disappearance of Ronald Dumas Jr., a well-known Huntsville realtor who vanished on December 15, 2024. According to investigators, evidence suggests Dumas was abducted against his will shortly after leaving a liquor store on University Drive in Huntsville. Despite months of investigation, Dumas has not been located, leaving his family searching for answers and hoping for justice. Family spokesman Troy Styles said news of McLaurin’s arrest in Michigan was not unexpected. “McLaurin has family ties in Michigan,” Styles noted, adding that relatives of Dumas remain hopeful that the latest arrest could provide critical information about what happened to their loved one. Authorities have repeatedly stated that they believe McLaurin possesses important knowledge about Dumas’ disappearance. Investigators are expected to question him extensively once he is returned to Madison County. Multiple Suspects Already Arrested McLaurin’s arrest marks another significant step in a case that has already resulted in multiple arrests. In April 2025, authorities arrested Quintarius White and Kierra Clark in Tennessee in connection with the investigation. Court records indicate that White, Clark, and McLaurin all have prior criminal histories that include kidnapping-related offenses and other charges. Investigators have not publicly disclosed the full extent of each suspect’s alleged role but continue to describe the case as a complex, multi-state investigation. Two Suspects Still on the Run Despite recent arrests, law enforcement officials say the investigation is far from over. Authorities are still searching for two additional suspects: Sabrina Rochelle Chambers, 27, of Huntsville, who is wanted on a charge of first-degree kidnapping. Carissa Shrma Cash, 33, of Memphis, Tennessee, who is wanted on a charge of first-degree receiving stolen property. Investigators are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any information that could lead to the capture of the remaining fugitives. Family Continues Search for Answers More than a year after Ronald Dumas Jr.’s disappearance, his family continues to seek answers about what happened that December night. The extradition of McLaurin represents one of the most significant developments in the case to date and could potentially provide investigators with new leads as they work to piece together the events surrounding Dumas’ disappearance. Anyone with information regarding this case or the whereabouts of the remaining suspects is urged to contact Huntsville Police Investigator Brady at 256-746-4135. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers at 256-533-7463. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
