The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. near the Quality Inn on Bienville Boulevard, where officers with the Ocean Springs Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance. According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI), responding officers encountered a suspect who was armed with a weapon upon their arrival. MBI agents are currently gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and reviewing the circumstances surrounding the deadly encounter. Once the investigation is complete, the agency will submit its findings to the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office for review and determination of any further action.
